I've lived in the Columbus area since 1978. Graduated from Westerville South in '79 and Otterbein College with a BA in education in '83. I subbed for a while, however, teaching wasn't for me.
I've been blessed to have several neat jobs and employers, but there was always something missing for me. In hindsight, the Universe sent me many nudges to become a professional pet sitter, which I ignored. I was always the gal who friends and family relied on for pet care.
My divorced parents hadn't seen each other in 25 years. In 2003, when they each passed away within 30 days, I was a very lost soul.
In 2004, I was bombarded with nudges to travel to Charleston, SC. I hate traveling; however, I went to Charleston with my dog Cody while my friend watched my cats.
On Day 3, we were sitting at a stoplight on the way to the beach when a maroon SUV covered in paw prints passed by with 'For Pets Sake Pet Sitting.' I looked at Cody and said, 'This is what I'm meant to do with my life!' We cut our trip short and returned home the following day.
I'll never forget experiencing our magical epiphany!
