Pet FBI was founded as a non-profit organization in 1998, and it launched its website along with a FREE online lost pet database at PetFBI.org, which also offers helpful cat recovery tips.

In 2006, I was hired by Maresa, the founder of Pet FBI, to care for her cats. In 2010, I launched the now popular Pet FBI Ohio Facebook page to help increase traffic to their website and the lost pet database. Although Maresa's cat family has evolved over the years, I continue to care for them and manage our Facebook page daily, sharing cat recovery tips to assist those in need.

During the first 5 years of managing our page, I had the opportunity to communicate with many individuals seeking cat recovery tips for their missing cats. I would often counsel and coach them with helpful strategies. In return, they shared their success stories with me, and I noticed that a consistent set of tips was frequently mentioned. As a result, Pet FBI Executive Director Leslie and I collaborated to create our Tips to Lure a Cat Back Home, incorporating my kitty pictures! Here are some of the beloved pets featured:
